BLACK MOUNTAIN KENTUCKY
If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear"
--George Orwell
A day, an hour, of virtuous liberty  Is worth a whole eternity in bondage.
--Joseph Addison, Cato (act II, sc. 1)

What a curious phenomenon it is that you can get men to die for the liberty of the world who will not make the little sacrifice that is needed to free themselves from their own individual bondage.
--Bruce Barton

Better to starve free than be a fat slave.
-- Aesop
Underlying most arguments against the free market is a lack of belief in freedom itself.
-- Milton Friedman
Honor, justice, and humanity, forbid us tamely to surrender that freedom which we received from our gallant ancestors, and which our innocent posterity have a right to receive from us.
-- Thomas Jefferson
It's often safer to be in chains than to be free.
-- Franz Kafka

The only freedom which deserves the name, is that of pursuing our own good in our own way, so long as we do not attempt to deprive others of theirs, or implode their efforts to obtain it.
- - John Stuart Mill
"…because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies; from these proceed debts and taxes; and armies and debts and taxes are the known instruments for bringing the many under the domination of the few."
--James Madison

"Government's view of the economy can be summed up in a few short phases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. If it stops moving, subsidize it."
-- Ronald Reagan
"It is not formalities, agreements, or preexisting written laws that make something right or wrong. If one group of people forces their will on another, written into law or not, it is wrong."

"The global warming theory has the potential to be used to hand total control over human lives to governments. If this were to happen, freedom would end."

"A dictator is bad for you because he forces you to obey his will. A democracy is bad for you for the very same reason."

"Whether you think a law is good or bad, police will uphold it. To say that an officer enforces the law is the same as saying that an officer forces the law upon you. That is not freedom, it is tyranny."

"Your abilities to think, to feel, to learn and to love are your liberty. In you, these capacities are infinite. You have infinite worth."

"To understand freedom is to understand the value of a person. Everything that evil wants is to disguise and destroy your value. All authority is created by evil men to disguise your worth. "

"While evil seeks to destroy or hide a person's worth, freedom shows humans their full potential and their full value"

"Freedom brings everything good."

"The evil of democracy knows no freedom. A free person has none to enslave him. Instead, democracies offer everyone the opportunity to enslave you with a vote. Everyone becomes a slave - and everyone becomes a master of slaves. Perfect evil"

Freedom is the infinite value of the human being

--Jeremy Locke, The End of All Evil

Read Mr. Locke's book and discover how we have been lied to by society!!!!

"Stripped of all its covering, the naked question is, whether ours is a federal or consolidated government; a constitutional or absolute one; a government resting solidly on the basis of the sovereignty of the States, or on the unrestrained will of a majority; a form of government, as in all other unlimited ones, in which injustice, violence, and force must ultimately prevail."
-- South Carolina Senator John C. Calhoun

Health Care Market vs. State Intervention

"It has long been argued that the usual economic rules don't apply to the medical market.  However, the real problem is that perverse financial incentives and the lack of information comparing competing providers are driving up the cost of health care.  When an HMO, an insurance company or the government is paying the bill, there is little incentive for consumers to exercise prudence and demand efficiency in the delivery of medical services.  The predictable result has been the failure of a distorted marketplace to deliver high-quality, reasonably-priced health care. "To avoid domestic tyranny, the people must be armed to stand upon [their] own Defense; which if [they] are enabled to do, [they] shall never be put upon it, but [their] Swords may grow rusty in [their] hands; for that Nation is surest to live in Peace, that is most capable of making War; and a Man that hath a Sword by his side, shall have least occasion to make use of it."

~ John Trenchard (1662–1723)
"The essence of Government is power; and power, lodged as it must be in human hands, will ever be liable to abuse."
~ James Madison
